Multi One Design Networking Lunch
Marco Simeoni, President of Multi One Design SA, Franck David, Executive Director, and Steve Ravussin, Technical Director, will have the pleasure to welcome the participants of the World Yacht Racing Forum at the Multi One Design Networking Lunch. On this occasion, they will present the skippers and sponsors who have already joined the circuit, like Roland Jourdain and Michel Desjoyeaux or Cyril Dardashti, Manager of Gitana Team. “We are happy to be part of this unique gathering of the yacht racing industry and to be able to present our programme at the WYRF. The participants, the companies involved in our sport, the professional sailors and all the actors of the industry will be able to realise what an extraordinary communication platform the MOD 70’ circuit is” tells Marco Simeoni.
In the morning before the Networking Lunch, on December 14, Franck David, Executive Director of Multi One Design SA, will also be on the panel dedicated to the future of Sailing’s Premier Events. The panel will bring together Knut Frostad, CEO Volvo Ocean Race, Eddie Warden Owen, CEO Royal Ocean Racing Club, Jim O’Toole, CEO World Match Racing Tour and Luc Talbourdet, President of the IMOCA Class.
The MOD 70’ will become real in 2011!
The first MOD 70’ is being assembled in Lorient at CDK Technologies. The first four boats will be ready in 2011. Carrying the Swiss flag, the MOD 70’ nr 1 will be launched in March 2011. She will be named “Multi One Attitude”, after the Multi One Attitude Foundation, a foundation that has been set up to fight for the preservation of water on our planet.
2012 will be a decisive turn for the Multi One Design series which will present its first official event: an oceanic crew race in July 2012, followed in September by a European Tour: spectacular crew races, eco-responsible actions, water and ocean protection… The Multi One Design adventure is on its way!
