Since the launch of the MOD70 circuit in 2009, Multi One Design Ltd has always been a participant or partner to the World Yacht Racing Forum.
“In 2011, we’re moving up to the next level as Multi One Design has taken the role of Gold Partner to the World Yacht Racing Forum, which seems to us to be the best possible field of expression for a class which is developing internationally. Grouped together in the same conference hall, over 400 participants and over 20 countries are represented at the event. What a fantastic opportunity to present our one-design trimaran circuit, the Multi One Championship, and exchange ideas with a wide and enlightened public!” explains Marco Simeoni, President of Multi One Design Ltd.
Like the fledgling MOD70 class, the World Yacht Racing Forum is at a crossroads between sport, business and innovations. As such, throughout the two days in Estoril, participants will be able to attend discussions, forums and conferences on a vast array of subjects, including women in sailing, the new media, management of a sports team, the return on investment from sponsorship, and so on…
From the concept to reality:
At the very heart of the World Yacht Racing Forum, representatives from the Multi One Design will be taking the stage on Tuesday 13 December at 1415 hours in order to present the Multi One Championship. The latter will kick off with the KRYS OCEAN RACE in July 2012, a crewed transatlantic race between New York and Brest aboard one-design trimarans.
Multi One Design is also adopting an eco-friendly approach for its circuit, through its support of the Multi One Attitude Foundation, which is working to preserve the planet’s water. As such, a presentation by the Foundation will also be given at the World Yacht Racing Forum.
